Adlibris Go is the convenience store that comes to you wherever you are at home, at work or in a park. The range consists of products that you may need at short notice, such as food, gifts and hygiene items to books and kids toys. The delivery happens within 60 minutes after the purchase and covers Stockholm's inner city and suburbs.
As a newly released app in the Appstore, my role consisted on designing the UI of the whole app. I worked together with the product manager to meet the goals.
We decided to make a few iterations in the home page in order to make it easier to use and understand. In the top it shows the delivery address set by the user followed by the city it’s available and the delivery time.
The scrolling content of the page is followed by categories that are set up manually according to the season instead of the fixed categories. for Example. during the summer it shows categories such as “summer with kids” that would include products such as baby food, toys sweets and children books. Other categories are Fridays dinner, last-minute presents and brunch.
In the search tab the user can search for a specific product or head to the product categories listed below. Once in a category, the use can browse dozens of products to find the desired product. The design is minimal and elegant so the user can have a smooth experience and complete the transaction with a minimal effort and a smooth experience.
The basket was designed for the customer to quickly scan trough the information and proceed to the checkout. The checkout is handled by an external provider as it simplifies and makes the customer’s shopping experience more personal.
Once the payment has gone through, the user gets an email with a link to follow the order handled by a partner company). The user then can track in real time the order and make sure it will arrive in 1-2 hours. The whole process is affordable, predictable, and flexible.
Since the orders on mobile devices where increasing year by year, I decided to focus on designing for mobile first. From there I moved to design for tablet and desktop.
